The Annual McClure Oktoberfest is fast approaching.

Last year featured 50 pilots (many with low mountain airtime), good soaring weather with cumulus clouds and aero towing.

Come fly our friendly site, land at our recently improved LZ and help our club with its only fall fundraising event.

The event cost is low and the fun flying time is usually high. Camping is available.

 

This is primarily a Fly-In, but the Oktoberfest also includes a Speed Gliding competition (usually starts at 9am) and features a mini CC race course you can also compete in.

 

Sonoma Wings and Bay Area pilots are greatly welcomed since they have strongly supported our event in past years.

 

Directions:

Take State Highway 132 east towards Coulterville. Go about 1 mile past the turn off to Horseshoe Bend Recreation Area. Look for the LZ gate on your right.  If you end up in Coulterville, do not despair. Buy beer and drive back down a couple miles and look for the LZ when you see the Lake.

Speed Gliding launch starting at 9am.

Brunch.

Competition/Fun Flying starts around noon.

BBQ starts at 5pm.

 

Sunday. October 14. The schedule should be the same as Saturday.

Donation of $25 is good for the whole weekend.
